What To Expect

To get the most out of a HBC meeting, bring your business cards, have a think about a short intro to say who you are and what you do - and if there’s anything you’d like to announce or share for the group to promote.

While each meeting is slightly different, over 2 hours most evenings include:
  • Time to meet other attendees when you arrive
  • Introductions from businesses in the room
  • A member or guest speaker sharing insights or experience
  • A short break for drinks and refreshments
  • Open conversation and networking
  • Discussions about shared news or announcements
The aim is simple: bring businesses together and create useful conversations.

Speakers

Many meetings include either member or guest speakers who share insights on topics relevant to running a business.

Topics often include:
  • Business growth
  • Finance and funding
  • Legal considerations
  • Technology and digital tools
  • Lessons from experienced business owners
Speakers add useful perspective while still leaving plenty of time for networking.
